June 23rd, 2008It’s really freaking me out. The networks have all but have stopped covering Iraq. McCain is fool. The world is spinning out of control It’s all in the book.
In happier news, the UK Independent covers “daring” Iraq-themed graphic novels.

Please explain in detail. Why are you concerned about the lack of Iraq coverage, why do you feel (specifically) that McCain is a fool, and why do you feel that the world is “spinning out of control?” What similarities are there between what’s happening and what happens in your story? I loved it, by the way. I saw a movie called ‘WAR INC.’ few weeks ago - co-written by and John Cusack of all people. It was awesome. It reminded me of your graphic novel.
Keep fighting the good fight.

QUESTION: Why are you staunchly anti-military?
July 25th, 2008 at 12:00 am
I feel McCain is a fool because he appears not to have even a basic understanding of the conflict in Iraq - as evidenced by the linked statement and his more recent string of gaffes. Why am I concerned about a lack of coverage of a war that is taking American lives and costing us billions every week? That seems to answer itself. As for the similarities, check out the book and see for yourself. Thanks for the comment. I’m still trying to get to War Inc.
Not anti-military.

Obama will probably defeat him anyways.

True or false; the old front-page video on this site specifically mentioned “President McCain” by name. The current video does not.
If so, why the change? I thought that the comic was prescient to show the war in Iraq in the direction I’m concerned that its going and make the prediction about the election and the direction I’m concerned that it’s going.
Thanks.

I was called up from NJ Guard and spent a year in Iraq, reponsibile for bringing 151 home, and I did.
I had a reporter and cameraman with us. They always ran for for the story, they would not listen, I wasn’t trying to hide anything, and was told before they were embeded not to, but I had to detail five men to escort them. They were looking for footage, while I was looking for cover while directing my guys. My boys risked their lives for footage.
What made the news is I shot a 16 year old kid. What they failed to mention is he was a Syrian insurgent, armed and shooting. I still feel bad, but don’t shoot at me. It irriatates me.
My medic ran out through fire to treat him, we ran and put him on a litter on top of the hood of the HMMWV and a rifleman sat there to return fire on the the way to the FOB.
He died on the way, but not from neglect. My rifleman got the Bronze Star for that engagement.
The press sells ads, it’s revenue. The war is gone from the news now. Oil is low, but they ignore for the Dow.
The press is just a business like anything else.
